The Saudi Press Agency reported the results of the Industrial Innovation Hackathon, organised by the Ministry of Education with NEOM’s industrial city OXAGON on 6–8 October 2022. Thirty Saudi universities, together with public- and private-sector participants, worked on more than 65 projects.
Three projects were named winners, among them BlindLine, a smart device that supports learning Braille, presented by the team from Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University and rooted in the assistive-technology research of AIRL’s Founding Director, Dr. Ghazanfar Latif.
